I have a solo exhibition at Haas Gallery, Bloomsburg University, Bloomsburg, PA. The exhibtion is up from August 27 until September 21. There will be a closing reception and artist talk on September 21 from 11:30 am - 2:00 pm. John and I will be there for the weekend!
The exhibition contains new work that has not been shown anywhere yet. It is a body of work that was derived from places such as The Cave of the Mounds, the United Kingdom, and Pennsylvania. The processes used to make this work includes: hand-made paper, monotype, chalk pastel drawing, and encaustics.
A four person, group exhibition will be on exhibition at Gallery 110 North in Plymouth, Wisconsin. This exhibition is called Transforming Spaces and includes the work of Connie Wolfe, Tim Abel, Beki Borman, and Crystal McCann. It will be opening on October 5, with an artist reception that evening. The show closes on December 2.
I will have 15 pieces in this exhibition including works inspired from Ohio, London, and Pennsylvania. The processes utilized in these works include: hand-made paper, monotype, and chalk pastel drawing. There are many layers of color involved in this work that are enhanced by the texture of the paper. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the opening. If you are in Wisconsin and are able to go, please take photos for me!
Doug DeVinny curated an exhibition of Portfolio Exchanges at UW-Parkside with the help of Lisa Bigalke and myself called Shared Inspiration: The Art of the Exchange Portfolio. This exhibition contains many portfolios including all three that I organized. They are called Old School: UW-Parkside’s First Alumni Exchange; Hidden Treasures: Women in Print; and Ohio University’s Alumni Exchange, 2005.
The exhibition can be viewed at the Communication Arts Gallery, UW-Parkside, from September 4 through September 27.
